“Ego sum Polyphemus”
Polyphemus the Cyclops’ life is pretty simple: he looks after his sheep, hangs out in his cave, writes (horrible) poetry, and eats his homemade cheese . . . until one day a ship arrives on his peaceful island, bringing with it invaders and turning his world upside down.
This novella, based on the works of Vergil and Ovid, is suitable for all beginning readers of Latin.
Included in the novella are: 4 lines of hendecasyllabic poetry from the Roman poet Catullus, 3 lines of original dactylic hexameter poetry (modeled after Ovid), footnotes providing the meaning of difficult or unusual words or phrases when they first appear, and a full Latin to English glossary.
Also available as an ebook at Apple Books and Kobo.
