Revised Editions

The number of Latin novellas available to language learners has grown exponentially since the mid-2010s. During this time, many of our authors self-published their works in order to make as many resources available to students as quickly as possible.

Now that the genre is firmly established, Storybase Books is releasing both new novellas and professional, revised editions of previously self-published works. These revised editions include the following improvements:

  • Professional typography
  • Better image quality
  • Further editing
  • Table of Contents
  • Library of Congress cataloging information
  • Availability as ebooks on both Kobo and Apple Books
  • List of artwork contained in the text (when applicable)
  • Spine text (when possible)
  • Better print quality (for copies purchased on this site)

Additionally, the Latin text of revised editions and self-published editions have similar page numbering so that both editions can be used together.

While many revised editions are already available, it will take a few years to complete the process for all of our authors’ previously self-published novellas.

In the meantime, on this site you can distinguish a revised edition from a self-published edition by the name of the publisher—any title which lists a publisher other than Storybase Books is not yet a revised edition.

One further note: for authors who have previously self-published their novellas, the revised editions are currently available for purchase only on this site.

If you have any questions or concerns about our revised editions, or anything else, please contact us.
